Jan Lecjaks Finishes With Ease…In His Own Net

by: JamieD On  Thursday, August 19, 2010

Sometimes I just don’t get these soccer players.  When they are trying to score what appears to be a sure goal, they will often put the ball several feet wide.  But then when they are attempting to steer the ball clear of their own goal, it somehow finds the top corner of the net.

I understand we all make mistakes sometimes, but these guys are professionals.

Jan Lecjaks of Anderlecht was just the latest victim of such embarrassment when he delivered a cross from a Partizan player into the top shelf of his own goal during their UEFA Champions League playoff match yesterday.

I’m willing to bet that any of the Partizan players couldn’t have finished like that if they tried.
