Alabama’s Psycho Strength Coach is Excited! (Video)
Allow us to introduce you to Steve Cochran, the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
How would we describe Cochran? He’s a perfect mixture of Carl from “Sling Blade” and former Bucs coach Jon Gruden. Wait, I forgot that he is also one part Opie from “The Andy Griffith Show”.
Something tells me that one day he will die a very painful and gruesome death when he gets jacked in the head by a 45-pound plate. It will inspire a new word to describe how someone dies — “Did you hear about that dude from the South? Dude got plated.”
I sure would have liked to see coach Cochran try all that motivation with LeGarrette Blount, aka Punchy. Blount would have thrown a haymaker at his jaw. This psycho coach might actually like that though. “I only lost one tooth! More sets! More reps!!” Too bad Blount doesn’t play for the Giants. I know we’d all like to see him bloody Eli Manning one more time.
