Picture Of The Day: Just How Sticky Are Wide Receivers Gloves?
Ever wonder how wide receivers are capable of making such miraculous catches sometimes? The one handed catches on balls thrown behind them, leaping one-handed snags on balls thrown way over their heads and diving grabs are all helped by a wide receiver’s out of this world ability, yes, but also by the gloves they wear on their hands. I know this because I’ve experienced it. I bought a pair of these extra sticky gloves and I couldn’t drop a pass in flag football if I tried. I was like Rashid “Hot Hands” Hanon.
Having said that, is it just me or does this ball above look like it was pulled out of a happy meal? It looks tiny.
