Frozen Fisticuffs Fight Of The Night – Goal!…Fight! – 10/24/10
So what is the easiest way to get on our “Frozen Fisticuffs Fight of the Night” you ask? The answer is simple. Be a part of the only fight on any particular night of NHL action, and the honor is yours.
Through the opening two weekends of regular season action, the NHL had yet to see a fight take place on a Sunday, but that changed last night thanks to the Sharks’ Ryan Clowe and the Flames’ Tim Jackman. During last night’s game between the two teams, Jackman showed an excellent sense of timing as he waited until just after the Flames scored their third goal of the game before dropping his gloves with Clowe. It was the type of performance the Sharks needed from Clowe after a lackluster opening 10 minutes that saw them go down 3-0. Unfortunately the fight would fail to change the momentum as the Flames won the game by a score of 4-0, even though Clowe came out victorious in the “Frozen Fisticuffs Fight of the Night” for Sunday, October 24, 2010.
