Earlier in the year when minor league baseball manager Wally Backman had his epic mic’d up tirade on an umpire, I thought we would never see anything quite like it again. Guess I was wrong.
Florida Atlantic color commentator Dave Lamont not only equaled Backman’s performance, but I would go so far as to say that he actually blew it out of the water following a hit to the helmet on FAU quarterback Jeff Van Camp. Excessive yelling, banging on the glass, tearing off his shirt, and challenging the entire press box to a fight as he gives them all the double-fisted “Hawaiian peace sign.” Does it get any better than that?
