Frozen Fisticuffs Fight Of The Night -Two From The Penn State Rivalry -10/29/10
It is no secret the the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Philadelphia Flyers clearly do not like each other. And that was evident in their game last night when not one, but two fights broke out less than a minute into their game.
The first bout took place immediately after the opening faceoff as Mike Richards and Matt Cooke exchanged pleasantries. Not long after those two were done pounding each others’ faces in, it was Jody Shelley and Deryk Engelland’s turn to go for a round. Both fights were quite entertaining, and set the tone for a hard fought game that ended in a 3-2 victory for the visiting Flyers. As a result, we couldn’t help but name both as our “Frozen Fisticuffs Fight of the Night” for Friday, October 30, 2010.
