2010 NFL Fantasy Football: Week 8 Start’em, Sit’em
2010 Fantasy Football: Monday NFL Rewind (Week 8)
Our big question coming out of this weekend is “Will the Buffalo Bills win a game this season?”
It appeared as though things were turning around for the Bills after Ryan Fitzpatrick was inserted as the team’s full-time starter. They began to put up some points, and were making things difficult for the Pats, Jags, Ravens and the Chiefs, but after their last couple of losses it seems as though maybe they just weren’t meant to win a game in 2010.
Just think about it for a second. In the last two weeks their games have gone into overtime, but a fumble and a missed field goal attempt have caused them to come up short on both occasions. And if that wasn’t enough, the Bills also held leads of 10 and 14 against the Jags and Ravens, respectively, in two of those losses.
So the Bills clearly have the talent to hang in their with some of the NFL’s top teams, but do they have what it takes to win a game? I guess only time will tell.
Here is a look at what happened during week eight in this edition of the TPS Monday NFL Fantasy Rewind.
Denver 16 at San Francisco 24 - Could we have given the English people a game between two crappier teams? Thankfully, it actually turned out to be quite the entertaining contest.
Jacksonville 35 at Dallas 17 – Only the Cowboys could make David Garrard look like Joe Montana, and the Jags’ secondary look like the Jets’.
Miami 22 at Cincinnati 14 - The Bengals may stink, but at least T.O. is having himself a career year.
Buffalo 10 at Kansas City 13 – I guess Ryan Fitzpatrick was bound to slow down at some point.
Washington 25 at Detroit 37 – Matthew Stafford wasn’t out long enough to forget that all he has to do is throw the ball up to Calvin Johnson if he wants to score touchdowns.
Carolina 10 at St. Louis 20 – From a fantasy perseective, any Panthers running back has officially become worthless.
Green Bay 9 at New York Jets 0 – This game was more frightening than a horror flick for any fantasy owner with players on the Packers or Jets.
Tennessee 25 at San Diego 33 -I think even I could play wide receiver for the Chargers as long as Philip Rivers is their quarterback.
Minnesota 18 at New England 28 – Favre gets hurt. Moss gets waived. The Pats passing game continues to struggle. This game was enough to give any fantasy owner a migraine.
Tampa Bay 38 at Arizona 35 – Welcome to the NFL LeGarrette Blount. Now that you have finally made it, make sure you don’t go punching your way out of the league.
Seattle 3 at Oakland 33 – Is it possible that Jason Campbell may actually be worth a fantasy roster spot these days?
Pittsburgh 10 at New Orleans 20 – Against the Browns and Cardinals he struggles mightily, but against he Steelers Drew Brees simply reverted back to his Super Bowl form.
