The Stat Line of the Night – 11/4/10 – Toney Douglas
New York Knicks guard Toney Douglas may have a new favorite city: Chicago. He certainly has a new favorite place to play in the United Center, where the hoops were welcoming his every shot.
The Knicks were looking to get back to .500 and get their second win of the season against Derrick Rose and the Bulls. Toney Douglas got major minutes off the bench and made the most of them. He probably wishes the game was still going on. Douglas drained three-pointer after three-pointer in the Knicks 120-112 win.
Douglas shot 9-14 from the floor and 5-9 from three-point land. He also sank all 7 of his free throw attempts and ended up with 30 points on the night. Making it more impressive is that the Bulls began the game with the league’s best 3-point defense, giving up just 9 of 50 shots in the first three games. Toney and the Knicks drained 16 of 24 for 67%.
The 30 points was a career-high for Toney Douglas, and he has The Stat Line of the Night for 11/4/10.
