The Stat Line of the Night – 11/10/10 – John Wall
The Wizards were back in Washington last night taking on the woeful Houston Rockets. But like the Rockets, the Wiz were seeking just their second win of the young season. John Wall was ready to rock.
Wall went out and dominated the Rockets, filling up the stat sheet in the process. Wall had 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting, including hitting 2-of-4 from three-point land. Wall also pulled down 10 boards and dished out a game-high 13 assists. That’s right — Wall recorded his first career triple-double. He became the third-youngest player in NBA history to accomplish the feat. Only LeBron James and Lamar Odom did it at a younger age. Wall also became the sixth player in all of NBA history to record his first career triple-double within his first six career games.
Wall also added 6 steals and a block, and turned the ball over just one time. The Wiz got the win, 98-91, and Wall carved out a bit of history. I’m sure that’s just the beginning. John Wall has The Stat Line of the Night for 11/10/10.
