Yesterday we provided readers with a glimpse of what may very well have been the greatest worst goaltending FAIL ever.  Well Jaroslav Halak, it appears as though your reign atop such a dubious list has lasted a whole one day, thanks to this soccer keeper from Sinop of Brazil’s lower league.

During a semi-final first-leg match of the Copa MT, rain and poor lighting made things difficult for all players, especially the Sinop keeper, whose embarrassing misjudgment on a long free kick from an Operario player left him jumping to his left as the ball landed directly in the center of the net.

Goalies guessing the wrong way is a regular theme in soccer.  However, that usually occurs during a penalty kick, when the shooter is shooting from a mere 12 yards out, rather than a lengthy 90 yards away from goal.
