The Stat Line of the Night – 12/1/10 – Russell Westbrook
The Stat Line of the Night – 12/2/10 – LeBron James
Sorry, Cleveland. We all wanted you to get the justice you so richly deserve. Save for the city of Miami, almost the entire country was hoping for the Cavaliers to come out and kill “The King’. But LeBron James proved he still owns Cleveland basketball. The dethroning will have to wait for another game.
LeBron scored a season-high 38 points to lead all scorers as the Heat absolutely crushed the Cavs 118-90, and the final score makes it seem like it was a closer game than it was. But the Heat led by more than 30 at one point.
James scored 24 points on 10 of 12 shooting in the 3rd quarter alone. For the game, James had 10 more points than Cleveland’s entire starting lineup. He scored 8 during a 16-0 first-quarter run that started the drubbing. James also had 5 rebounds, 8 assists a steal and a block. And he did it all in just 30 minutes of playing time. It’s also not surprising that James led the Heat in field goal attempts with 25. Yeah– he wanted this badly.
The Heat moved to 12-8 on the season, and LeBron James has “The Stat Line of the Night” for 12/2/10.
