The Stat Line Of The Night – 12/13/10 – Andre Johnson
Andre Johnson has been widely regarded as one of the top wide receivers in the NFL and his talents were once again on display last night when his Houston Texans hosted the Baltimore Ravens. Despite the challenge he was facing of finding open spaces against a tough Ravens defense that had been double-teaming him for most of the night, Johnson was able to make an enormous impact on the game, albeit in a losing cause.
With the Texans down early, Matt Schaub was forced to pass often and a majority of the time he was looking Andre’s way, completing a total of nine passes to his favorite target for 140 yards and two touchdowns. One of those touchdowns came late in the fourth quarter and helped the Texans tie the game up after trailing by 21 points in the third quarter. However, it would end up being all for naught as the Ravens’ Josh Wilson stepped in front of a Schaub pass in overtime and took it to the end zone for six points and the 34-28 victory. But despite his team coming up short on the scoreboard, Andre Johnson is still our choice for “The Stat Line of the Night” for Monday, December 13, 2010.
