Oregon High Schooler Shatters The Backboard (Video)
This video of Woodburn High School power forward Andy Avgi shattering the backboard following a breakaway dunk is impressive on two fronts. First, it is quite impressive that a high schooler was able to accomplish such a feat, but even more impressive is that fact that he is white. Now I don’t want to sound racist here. I know not all white men are incapable of getting off the ground, but seeing a high school boy like Avgi deliver a devastating dunk like that was even more surprising than when I first witnessed 11-year-old Adrian Moore throw down a two-handed slam.
And judging by the reaction of the crowd, it seems like they were just as surprised as I was.
