Colorado State’s “Dancing Band Man” Can Really Get The Crowd Going (Video)

The sound of the band has become a fixture at most college sports, but at Colorado State basketball games it is not the sounds of the band that has been making the most noise, but the sight of it.  That is because at each home game during the final media timeout of the second half, the loudest roar from the Rams fans can be heard as they cheer on “dancing band man.”

Joe Spina is the marching band graduate teaching assistant at Colorado State, but for five minutes at every home game he transforms into “dancing band man” as he waves his arms, legs, suit jacket and tie in the air to the tune of Green Day’s “Holiday.”

At 4-3, the Rams’ men’s basketball team haven’t been able to gain much attention across the NCAA, but that could all change with the help of “dancing band man.”
