Picture Of The Day: Brett Favre Was Here
On December 13, 2010, Brett Favre was listed as inactive, ending his consecutive starts streak at 297. Last night his new streak started at one as he was named the surprise starter for the Minnesota Vikings’ Monday night game against the Chicago Bears. Although, after sustaining a concussion following a Corey Wootton hit, he is probably wishing his current start-streak was still at zero.
Favre was expected to sit this game out with a shoulder injury, but after testing it prior to the game he was given the nod as the starter. That allowed fans in attendance to witness what may very well be the last play of Favre’s career as he was forced to leave the game after being driven hard into the frozen turf at TCF Stadium. And with that play possibly marking the end of his storied career, a chalk outline of his battered body only seems appropriate.
