Snow Didn’t Stop Sonck From Scoring This Incredible Goal (Video)

by: JamieD On  Thursday, December 23, 2010

I have always wondered why these European soccer leagues have decided to stage their regular seasons throughout the course of the cold winter months.  However, as a fan I always enjoy the sight of a snow covered pitch and the appearance of the classic orange ball.  And such a sight is even more incredible when it is accompanied by a spectacular goal, like the one scored by Lierse’s Wesley Sonck during their Belgian Pro League game against Racing Genk.

Tis the season of giving and Sonck’s bicycle kick goal was enough to give his team a single point following a 1-1 draw in this tough match against the league’s top team.
