Frozen Fisticuffs Fight Of The Night – Westgarth vs. Bissonnette – 12/29/10

by: JamieD On  Thursday, December 30, 2010

We are just about halfway through the NHL season and the Kings’ Kevin Westgarth has already made his fair share of appearances on our daily “Frozen Fisticuffs Fight of the Night” feature.  Some of his appearances have been the result of a rather effective upper-cut, while others have been the product of his willingness to take on one of the league’s toughest in the Blackhawks’ John Scott.

For his latest appearance, Westgarth went back to his bread and butter as he utilized the upper-cut on Phoenix Coyotes’ tough guy Paul Bissonnette during a bout that saw both combatants get in their fair share of punches.  Bissonnette got off to a quick start, landing several jabs to the face of Westgarth, but it was the Kings’ enforcer who would end strong, dropping his opponent to his knees with a stiff upper-cut to the jaw.  It is difficult to pick a victor from these two combatants, but the real winners are the fans as we were provided with another exciting battle during this edition of the “Frozen Fisticuffs Fight of the Night.”
