With the game tied 1-1 just over a minute into the third period, a crazy carom off the glass on a simple dump-in was enough to fool New Jersey Devils goaltender Johan Hedberg and end up in the back of the net, giving the Minnesota Wild the 2-1 victory at the Prudential Center. It seems only fitting that a terrible goal like that came off the stick of a man by the name of Clayton Stoner. It was Stoner’s first NHL goal.
