Kate Messler Gives Us Our Feel Good Story Of The Week (Video)

As a member of the Oyster River High (New Hampshire) basketball team for the past four years, Kate Messler never had the opportunity get into a game.  Much of that was due to a developmental disorder she has, called Trisomy 9P, which can cause dysmorphisms in the skull, nervous system, and mental retardation.

The disorder hasn’t stopped Kate from taking part in every practice and watching every game as the team’s manager, and with the Bobcats up by 20 at halftime during a game last week, she was finally given the opportunity to play, and she didn’t disappoint.

Just being out on the court playing with her teammates was enough to make this a feel good story, but Kate would make this tale even more remarkable by hitting two three-point shots during the game.  Here is a look at the story, via WMUR-TV 9 News in New Hampshire.
