Little Tykes Takes An Extra Lap At ‘The Joe’ (Video)
Every little kid dreams about getting to step out onto the ice of an NHL rink at some point in their life, and while only a few will ever get to do so as a professional hockey player, many teams these days have been giving youngsters from their area the opportunity to take a lap around the rink in the home team’s colors prior to the game.
The Detroit Red Wings are among those teams who have instituted such a practice, and during last night’s game against the Vancouver Canucks at the Joe Louis Arena, the lucky tyke who was chosen to take the pre-game lap decided to take advantage of the opportunity, as he threw in an extra lap for good measure.
It doesn’t get much cuter than this.
