The Daily Gambling Fix 3/29/11 — Jenna
The Game: Carolina Hurricanes @ Washington Capitals
The Reason: The Caps continue to go about their low-scoring ways without Alex Ovechkin in the line-up as they have gone under the total in their last two games, and in 10 of their 13 games this month. Expect their battle with the Hurricanes to be yet another low-scoring affair as these teams have yet to go over the total in any of their five games played this season.
The Game: Philadelphia Flyers @ Pittsburgh Penguins
The Reason: After putting together some high scoring games in the middle of the month, both teams have tightened up defensively as of late and have each watched their past three games go under the total. In five meetings between the Pens and the Flyers this season, only one game has gone over the 5.5-goal total. That game was back on October 16, a 5-1 Penguins’ victory. Look for that to remain the only over of the season between these two teams as it should be another low-scoring affair in Pittsburgh tonight.
2011 Record: (60-53-2), This Week: (0-2), Last Week: (4-6)
