Former Nova Star Scottie Reynolds Gets Into D-League Fight (Video)
At about this time last year, Scottie Reynolds had watched his college career at Villanova come to an end after being named to the AP All-American first team and leading his school to a #2 NCAA Tournament seed, before being knocked out in the second round by St. Mary’s. Two years ago he was guiding his Wildcats to the Final Four, where they would eventually lose to the champion North Carolina Tar Heels.
My how things have changed.
Reynolds was a household name in the NCAA, but now he is an afterthought at the pro level, as he currently finds himself playing for the Springfield Armor of the NBA’s D-League.
Well it appears as though Scottie has found a way to step back into the spotlight, albeit, in a rather unpleasant fashion.
During a game against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Reynolds and Vipers’ forward Connor Atchley exchanged several shots throughout the game before finally getting into it along the sidelines. Players and coaches from both teams eventually broke the two apart and both Reynolds and Atchley were ejected, along with Vipers coach Chris Finch (for “instigating”) and guard Terrel Harris (for leaving the bench).
Here is what transpired during what we will refer to as “Scottie Reynolds’ (brief ?) return to relevance.”
