Here Is A Penalty Kick With A Back Flip Follow-Through (Video)
Soccer’s always been burdened with the rule preventing players from taking off their jersey during a match. It’s fairly simple to understand: don’t take off your shirt while you’re celebrating and you won’t get carded for it.
Vancouver Whitecaps player Eric Hassli attempted to skirt the rule by wearing a jersey under his jersey to toss it to fans in the stands after he scored a goal against the New England Revolution. He figured he was being pretty smart.
The ref didn’t take too kindly to his antics and promptly awarded him with a yellow card, effectively sending him off because he was already on a previous yellow.
