The Daily Gambling Fix 4/13/11 — Kelly Lynn
The Game: Florida Marlins @ Atlanta Braves
The Reason: Both teams will send their aces to the mound as Tim Hudson gets set to pitch for the Braves, while Jack Johnson gets the call for the Marlins. Six of the last seven games between these two teams have gone under the total. The Marlins have gone under in 9 of their last 10 on the road, while the Braves have gone under in 11 of their last 15 at home. Look for this to be a low scoring affair that goes under the total.
The Game: Tampa Bay Lightning @ Pittsburgh Penguins
The Reason: While the Penguins were able to continue winning games with Crosby and Malkin out of the line-up, it is interesting to note that they were only able to accumulate 13 regulation wins in 41 games since Sid was sidelined with a concussion. Most of their victories came in the shootout (10 on the season, most in the Eastern Conference), but in the playoffs they may have trouble closing out games with their lack of offense and a shootout victory no longer an option. Look for the Lightning, who have won 7 of their last 8, to take advantage tonight in game one.
2011 Record: (73-60-2), This Week: (2-2), Last Week: (8-2)
