The Daily Gambling Fix 4/18/11 — Suelyn Medeiros
The Game: San Francisco Giants @ Colorado Rockies
The Reason: The Rockies are off to a scorching start to the season, having won 12 of their first 15 games. Look for them to cool down tonight against the Giants’ Tim Lincecum, who has given up only two runs in 16 innings in his last two games against the Rockies, both wins. The Giants have also won four of the last five games between these two teams. Look for them to make it 5 of 6 tonight.
The Game: Philadelphia Flyers @ Buffalo Sabres
The Reason: After splitting the series in Philadelphia, the Sabres head home where they have won their last five in a row. Penalties proved to be the difference for the Sabres in Game Two, as they would spend 12 minutes in the box, compared to the Flyers’ four during the second period. The Flyers would win the period 2-0, which would end up being the difference during the Sabres’ 5-4 loss. Look for Buffalo to stay disciplined, and with Pronger out once again, they should be able to take advantage and regain the lead in this series.
2011 Record: (78-61-2), Last Week: (7-3)
