Rangers Fans Ask Bruce Boudreau, “Can You Hear Us?” (Video)

Following a Game 3 loss to the New York Rangers, Washington Capitals’ head coach Bruce Boudreau said that the fans at Madison Square Garden weren’t very loud, claiming that the fans at the Verizon Center were much louder.

It was almost as if he was working with Verizon on their next commercial, because with the Rangers up 3-0 late in the second period, the fans at MSG couldn’t help but ask Boudreau if he could “hear them now?”

Boudreau was left standing behind the Capitals’ bench in disbelief, with his team seemingly uninterested and trailing by three, as the chant of “Can You Hear Us?” rained down from the fans at the Garden.

Of course, Boudreau would get the last laugh, as his team completed the improbable third period comeback, and sealed the Game 4 victory in double overtime to take a 3-1 series lead.  However, that didn’t stop him from somewhat regretting his decision to question the volume of the Rangers’ fans following the game.

“Yeah, listen, I might have made a mistake by saying what I said.  Let’s leave it at that. Let’s let the players decide this and not worry about how I felt.”

Good idea Bruce.  Here is a look at the Rangers’ fans giving Boudreau a mid-game hearing test.
