Kazakh Soccer Player Given Lifetime Ban For Flying Kick To The Back (Video)

It appears as though Armand Masimzhanov, a member of the Kazakh league’s FC Kairat Almaty, has watched “Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story” one too many times.

Things got nasty three minutes into injury time during a game between FC Kairat and Lokomotiv, forcing the referees to call the game.  That didn’t seem to stop the violence, however, as Masimzhanov channeled his inner Johnny Sun (that would be the guy who attacked Bruce Lee from behind, resulting in his serious back injury) and delivered a flying kick to the back of an unsuspecting Lokomotiv player.

The Federation of Football of Kazakhstan has since decided to ban Masimzhanov for life, after defining his actions as a form of “terrible cruelty.”  After watching the footage below, I’d say that analysis is pretty accurate.
