Picture Of The Day: Indy 500 Planking

With rain washing out some of this week’s practice runs leading up to Sunday’s much anticipated Indy 500, many of the drivers took to their garages to take part in a competition that has seemingly captured the attention of most IndyCar teams and drivers.

It’s called “planking,” and according to Wikipedia, it involves “the action of lying face down with arms to the sides of the body, in unusual public spaces and photographing it.”  Scott Dixon is currently leading the competition with this tire-to-tire plank across his Target Chip Ganassi Racing car.  Others have given it a go as well, and you can see their results here.
