The Daily Gambling Fix 6/2/11 — Lindsey Strutt
The Game: Texas Rangers @ Cleveland Indians
The Reason: The Indians have gone over in four of their last five, while the Rangers have gone over in five of their last six. Cleveland starter Carlos Carrasco has an ERA of 4.91 and each of his last three starts have gone over the total. As for the Rangers starter David Bush, he has a 5.55 ERA in four career starts against the Indians. Both clubs are also ranked in the top ten in runs scored. Look for both teams to continue swinging hot bats as this game goes over the total.
The Game: Tampa Bay Rays @ Seattle Mariners
The Reason: The Mariners have struggled to score runs this season, averaging only 3.53 per game. They wont have an easy time tonight against Rays’ starter James Shields, who is currently posting a 2.15 ERA and has a 2.80 ERA against the Mariners in his career. As for the Rays batters, they will have to deal with Felix Hernandez, who has a 2.42 ERA against the Rays in his career. Look for both pitchers to dominate, as this game should go under the total.
