The Daily Gambling Fix 6/6/11 — Tabby Faith
The Game: Vancouver Canucks @ Boston Bruins
The Reason: The first two games of the series came down to the wire but the Canucks were able to come out on top in both of them. Two factors that the Canucks have been able to take advantage of are the brilliant performance from goaltender Roberto Luongo, and their depth. Despite the Sedins and Ryan Kesler being rather quite on the scoresheet, the Canucks have been able win because of players like Alex Burrow and Raffi Torres, while the Bruins’ struggles to find the back of the net continue. With Vancouver also having a decisive edge in special teams these playoffs, we expect them to come out on top once again in Game 3 tonight.
The Game: Toronto Blue Jays @ Kansas City Royals
The Reason: The Jays and the Royals are scoring an average of 4.92 and 4.41 runs per game, while giving up an average of 4.44 and 5.1 runs, respectively. Toronto has gone over in seven of their last eight games, while the Royals have gone over in eight of their last 12. Look for both teams to continue swinging a hot bat as this game goes over the total.
