Royals Fan Catches Foul Ball With Popcorn Bucket (Video)

by: JamieD On  Tuesday, June 7, 2011

I spent most of last night taking in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals between the Vancouver Canucks and the Boston Bruins, but whenever I was afforded the opportunity, I couldn’t help but check in to see how my Toronto Blue Jays were doing against the Kansas City Royals.  With the Jays losing the game in eleven innings by a score of 3-2, most of what I saw didn’t impress me, but there was one play that did have me in awe.

It came in the fourth inning when a fan in the lower bowl used his popcorn bucket to snag an Eric Hosmer foul ball.  I guess during these tough economic times, not everyone can afford a baseball glove.

As for Hosmer, this wouldn’t be the only highlight he was a part of last night as he also drove in the winning run with a walk-off single in extra innings.

Here is a look at the popcorn bucket catch.
