The Daily Gambling Fix 6/13/11 — Jordan Carver
The Game: Atlanta Braves @ Houston Astros
The Reason: The Braves have won five in a row, while the Astros have lost eight of their last nine. Atlanta has also won the last seven games in a row between these two teams, and nine of the last ten. They send Derek Lowe to the mound tonight, and they have won in each of this last three starts. Look for them to keep that streak going as they close out their series in Houston with another win.
The Game: Vancouver Canucks @ Boston Bruins
The Reason: Four of the five games in this series have either pushed or gone under the total. The only game to go over was the 8-1 beating the Bruins laid on the Canucks in Game 3. Tim Thomas has allowed only one goal against at home in this series, while Roberto Luongo has recorded two shutouts in his last five games. With the Stanley Cup on the line, look for both teams to play tight defensive games as this game goes under the 5-goal total.
2011 Record: (113-102-4), Last Week: (7-3)
