Mexico’s Monica Ocampo Scores From 30-Yards Out (Video)

It will be hard for any Mexican soccer player to top the goal scored by Giovani dos Santos, which put his side up 4-2 during Saturday’s Gold Cup Final against the U.S.A, but Monica Ocampo of Mexico’s Women’s World Cup squad has certainly come close with this screamer from 30-yards out.

With her team trailing England 1-0 in the first half of their opening match of the tournament, Ocampo was able to salvage the draw with this incredible strike from distance.

Between this goal and the one scored by Canada’s Christine Sinclair against Germany on Sunday, I’m beginning to think that maybe I should be paying a little more attention to what’s going on at the Women’s World Cup.
