The Daily Gambling Fix 6/29/11 — Joselyn
The Game: Boston Red Sox @ Philadelphia Phillies
The Reason: The Phillies have won 13 of their last 17, while the Sox have struggles as of late, losing five of their last six. Boston starter John Lackey has been terrible this season, posting a 7.36 ERA to go along with a 5-6 record. Philadelphia has struggled to score lately, but that shouldn’t be a problem against Lackey. Look for them to take advantage of some poor pitching and come out on top tonight.
The Game: San Francisco Giants @ Chicago Cubs
The Reason: The Giants have won five in a row and they send Tim Lincecum and his 3.16 ERA to the mound. That may be a disappointing number for Lincecum, but it is still much better than the 5.31 ERA of Cubs’ starter Ryan Dempster. With the Cubs losing seven of the last nine between these two teams and four of their last five overall, look for their struggles to continue tonight as they fall to the Giants once again.
2011 Record: (126-112-5), This Week: (3-1), Last Week: (7-3)
