The Daily Gambling Fix 7/5/11 — Elena Churakova
The Game: Tampa Bay Rays @ Minnesota Twins
The Reason: The Rays have gone under in four of their last five games, and their starter, James Shields, has a solid ERA of 2.45. Each of his last three starts has gone under the total. The Twins’ Scott Baker has also watched each of his last four starts go under the total and his 3.15 ERA isn’t too shabby either. Six of the eight meetings between these two teams this season have gone under the total. Look for much of the same tonight.
The Game: Seattle Mariners @ Oakland A’s
The Reason: Seattle has gone under in 10 of their last 12 games, while Oakland has gone under in nine of their last 12. Mariners starter Felix Hernandez has allowed a total of only two runs against in his last three starts against the A’s, while Oakland starter Trevor Cahill has also allowed a total of only two runs against in his last three starts against Seattle. Look for both pitchers to continue their dominance over the opposition as this game goes under the total.
2011 Record: (130-114-5), Last Week: (7-3)
