Mike Napoli Has Some Interesting Walkup Music Last Night (Videos)

by: JamieD On  Wednesday, July 6, 2011

The Texas Rangers’ Mike Napoli made his return to the starting line-up last night against the Baltimore Orioles and that meant it was time for him to start making good on a few lost bets from the NBA Finals.  Napoli picked the Miami Heat to beat the Dallas Mavericks in their best-of-seven series for the Larry O’Brien Trophy, and when the Mavs defeated the Heat in six games, it meant Fox Sports Southwest’s Emily Jones would be choosing Napoli’s walkup music during his first game back.

The first song on Napoli’s playlist was Right Said Fred’s “I’m Too Sexy.”  That was followed by Club Culture’s “Do You Really Want To Hurt Me,” and later on it was Shania Twain’s “I Feel Like a Woman.”  Some of the songs were chosen by Jones, while others were picked by the fans.  Whatever the case may be, it certainly seemed to get into Napoli’s head as he went 0-for-4 at the plate, striking out twice.

And the punishment is not done yet.  As a result of another lost bet to some members of the Rangers’ clubhouse, Napoli will soon be dying his hair blond.

Here is a look at two of Napoli’s appearances at the plate from last night’s game.
