The Daily Gambling Fix 7/19/11 — Hailey Nicole
The Game: Boston Red Sox @ Baltimore Orioles
The Reason: As much as the Orioles would like to talk about how they think they are as good as the Boston Red Sox, fact of the matter is they are not and their record proves it. After winning the first two meetings between these two clubs this season, the Orioles have gone on to lose their last seven straight against the Sox. Boston has won seven of their last eight on the road and nine of their last ten overall. As for Baltimore, they have lost ten of their last twelve. Look for both teams to continue heading in opposite directions as the Sox take tonight’s game.
The Game: San Diego Padres @ Florida Marlins
The Reason: The Marlins have been on a tear as of late, winning their last five in a row at home and nine of their last ten overall. Starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez is 6-2 on the year and the Marlins have won each of his last two starts. As for the Padres, they are in the midst of a five game road losing streak and have lost eight of their last nine overall. Look for the Marlins to continue to roll as they win their sixth in a row at home tonight. If the -140 line is too high for your liking, consider parlaying this game with another solid favorite, like the Red Sox or the Phillies.
2011 Record: (141-120-8), This Week: (2-0), Last Week: (4-5-1)
