The Daily Gambling Fix 7/21/11 — Andrea Marie
The Game: Atlanta Braves @ Colorado Rockies
The Reason: The Braves enter today’s game having won five of their last seven against the Rockies. Braves starter Tommy Hanson is 10-5 this season with a 2.73 ERA and in his only meeting against the Rockies this season he pitched seven innings of one-run ball, earning the win. As for the Rockies starter, Jhoulys Chacin, he has lost his last three starts and allowed four runs against in five innings during a loss to the Braves earlier this season. Look for the Braves and Hanson to get the win today in Colorado.
The Game: New York Yankees @ Tampa Bay Rays
The Reason: Both games between these two teams during this series have gone under the total. Tonight they both send their hottest pitchers to the mound as C.C. Sabathia puts his 14-4 record and 2.64 ERA on the line against James Shields and his 2.60 ERA. The Yankees have gone under in five of their last six, while five of the last seven between these two teams have gone under the total. Look for a low scoring game to unfold in Tampa once again tonight.
2011 Record: (141-124-8), This Week: (2-4), Last Week: (4-5-1)
