The Daily Gambling Fix 8/1/11 — Thuy Li
The Game: St. Louis Cardinals @ Milwaukee Brewers
The Reason: The Brewers have won their last six in a row and have built a 2.5 game lead over the Cards for top spot in the NL Central as a result. The Brewers have also won four of their last five and five straight at home against the Cards. Brewers starter Zack Greinke has allowed only five runs against in his last three starts versus the Cards, all wins. As for Cards starter Chris Carpenter, he has lost each of his last three starts against the Brewers. Look for Milwaukee to get the better of Carpenter once again as they come away with the victory.
The Game: Philadelphia Phillies @ Colorado Rockies
The Reason: The Phillies have won nine of their last twelve overall and six of their last seven against the Rockies. Colorado has lost their last six games when Jhoulys Chacin starts. Chacin has not recorded a victory since June 15. Don’t look for him to get one tonight against a hot Phillies team. Take Philadelphia in this game.
2011 Record: (147-131-8), Last Week: (2-7)
