The Daily Gambling Fix 8/5/11 — Jessica Burciaga
The Game: Toronto Blue Jays @ Baltimore Orioles
The Reason: The Jays have certainly had the Orioles number over the past couple of seasons, winning 19 of their last 25 meetings. Baltimore has struggled as of late, losing five of their last six overall and nine of their last 13 at home. They send Tommy Hunter to the mound. In three career starts against the Jays, he has allowed 17 runs over 19 innings. As for the Jays starter, Brad Mills, he shut the Orioles out over seven innings in his only career starts against them. Look for the Jays to continue their dominance over the Orioles as they come away with the win.
The Game: Philadelphia Phillies @ San Francisco Giants
The Reason: The Phillies continue to roll, winning their last seven games in a row. As for the Giants, their struggles continue, having lost six of their last seven. Phillies starter Vance Worley is 7-1 this season with a 2.33 ERA, and the Phils have won each of the last eight games he has started. Look for Worley and the Phils to continue to roll as they come away with the victory in San Francisco tonight.
2011 Record: (153-133-8), This Week: (6-2), Last Week: (2-7)
