The Daily Gambling Fix 8/30/11 — Lisa Chandler
The Game: Toronto Blue Jays @ Baltimore Orioles
The Reason: The Jays hit a bit of a slide over the weekend, but they were able to avoid a four-game sweep against the Rays with a win last night. Now they take on the Orioles, who they have beaten in four of their last five meetings. Jays starter Brett Cecil has won all four of his starts against the Orioles during his career, while Orioles starter Jeremy Guthrie is 6-15 on the season and has lost four of his last five against the Jays. Look for the Jays to continue their dominance against the Orioles as they come away with the win tonight.
The Game: St. Louis Cardinals @ Milwaukee Brewers
The Reason: For those who would rather not risk the -155 juice on the Brewers to win straight-up, taking them to win by two isn’t a bad idea. With a 50-16 record at Miller Park, the Brewers are the best home team in baseball this season. They are also currently one of the hottest teams, having won 20 of their last 24 games. They have beaten the Cards in seven of their last nine, and seven of their last eight at home. Look for Milwaukee to continue to roll, as they win by more than one run tonight.
2011 Record: (160-150-8), This Week: (0-2), Last Week: (3-7)
