New Zealand’s Haka vs Tonga’s Sipi Tau (Video)

by: JamieD On  Monday, September 12, 2011

As far as pre-game rituals in sports go, New Zealand’s national rugby team’s performance of the Haka in front of their opponents at midfield is among the most amazing.  However, what is even more amazing than the sight of the All Blacks yelling and stomping in an effort to intimidate the opposition is when the opposition is Tonga, who just so happen to have an intimidating pre-game chant of their own.

Coincidentally, these two teams were chosen to open up the 2011 Rugby World Cup on Friday, as they kicked things off with this thrilling confrontation at midfield inside Eden Park on Friday.

I sure as hell would hate to get caught in the middle of that.
