The Daily Gambling Fix 9/14/11 — Brianne
The Game: Toronto Blue Jays @ Boston Red Sox
The Reason: The Jays got roughed up by the Red Sox last night, but they should be able to avenge that loss today when they wrap up their two-game series in Boston. The Jays send Ricky Romero to the mound and they have won in nine of his last 10 starts. As for Red Sox starter John Lackey, he has lost his last three starts and the Jays have lit him up for 20 runs in three games (15 innings) against him this season. Look for the Jays’ bats to get to him once again as they come away with the win today.
The Game: Manchester United @ Benfica
The Reason: We don’t bet on soccer often, but when Manchester United is paying even money to win, we’ll take it. Not only have the Red Devils won all four of their Premier League games this season, but they have scored an incredible 18 goals while conceding only three against. Look for them to continue to roll today as they will want to kick off their UEFA Champions League campaign with a victory.
2011 Record: (172-158-8), This Week: (4-0), Last Week: (5-3)
