Picture Of The Day: Gretzky’s Daughter Is A “Great One”
We are only a few days into the NHL pre-season and the league already has its first disciplinary hearing scheduled, thanks the Jody Shelley. The Philadelphia Flyers’ tough guy was assessed a major penalty for boarding and a game misconduct after he leveled Darryl Boyce of the Toronto Maple Leafs from behind during an exhibition game at the Wells Fargo Center last night.
Boyce left the game with a broken nose, but returned in the third period after passing concussion tests. As for Shelley, he was forced to answer to Leafs enforcer Jay Rosehill following the hit, and we expect him to receive some additional punishment after the league addresses this reckless play.
