The Daily Gambling Fix 9/26/11 — Layla
The Game: Washington Redskins @ Dallas Cowboys
The Reason: The Dallas Cowboys have certainly got the better of the Redskins in recent memory, having won four of the last five games between these two division foes, and 13 of the last fifteen games between these two teams in Dallas. However, the Redskins have covered the spread in seven of the last nine meetings, including the last four in a row in Dallas. With several Cowboys players expected to either miss tonight’s game, or play injured, we expect the Redskins to keep things close. This game could come down to a field goal, and that makes the Redskins the smart pick for tonight.
The Game: St. Louis Cardinals @ Houston Astros
The Reason: The Cards are battling for the NL wild card, as they have closed the gap on the Braves to just one game. They have now won 14 of their last 18 overall, and five of their last six on the road. They have also beaten the Astros in eight of their last eleven meetings, and four of their last five in Houston. The Cards have won four in a row when Jaime Garcia gets the start. Look for them to make it five in a row tonight as they keep their playoff hopes alive with a win.
