The Daily Gambling Fix 9/28/11 — Peaches
The Game: Boston Red Sox @ Baltimore Orioles
The Reason: Red Sox starter Jon Lester has been terrible as of late, losing his last three games in a row and allowing 16 runs over his last 13.2 innings. As for the Orioles starter, Alfredo Simon, he hasn’t been much better, losing his last two games and allowing nine runs against in his last 13 innings. The Sox have gone over in eight of their last 10, while the Orioles have gone over in nine of their last 11. Five of the last six games between these two teams have gone over, with the other game ending in a push. Look for these two teams to end the regular season with another high-scoring affair.
The Game: Toronto blue Jays @ Chicago White Sox
The Reason: The Jays have won in Brandon Morrow’s last two starts, while the Sox have lost in Philip Humber’s last two trips to the mound. The Sox have had a lot of distractions surrounding their club over the final few games, with Ozzie Guillen leaving the team and Mark Buehrle possibly pitching his last game in a White Sox uniform. Look for those distractions to carry over as the Jays take advantage and win their final game of the season.
