LaMichael James’ Suffers Gruesome Elbow Injury (Video)
LaMichael James and the Oregon Ducks entered this 2011 NCAA football season with high hopes, as many people expected them to return to the National Championship Game, while James was believed to be a strong candidate to take home the Heisman Trophy. However, six weeks into the season things have not gone exactly as planned.
The Ducks’ National Championship hopes took a big hit when they lost to the LSU Tigers by a score of 40-27 during opening week, and now it appears as though LaMichael James’ Heisman hopes may have come to an abrupt end after he dislocated his right elbow during the fourth quarter of the Ducks’ 43-15 win over California last night. Although James stated that the arm was not broken and he was able to pop it back into place while he was still on the field, the injury is still expected to keep the star running back out for several weeks, if not the entire season.
At the time of the injury, James was having himself a phenomenal game, carrying the ball 30 times for 239 yards and a touchdown. Here is a look at the gruesome injury.
