Stat Line Of The Night — 10/16/11 — Aaron Rodgers
Stat Line Of The Night — 10/17/11 — Darrelle Revis
Most teams that take on the Jets prefer to avoid throwing in the direction or Darrelle Revis at all costs. The Miami Dolphins, on the other hand, appeared content with testing the Pro-Bowl corner every chance they had, and they ended up paying dearly for that decision.
Revis turned out to be one of Matt Moore’s favorite targets during last night’s game, which is not a good thing for the Dolphins’ quarterback. After putting together a nice drive in the first quarter, the Fins found themselves in the red zone, but rather than putting up some points of their own, Revis would intercept Moore on the goal line and return it all the way for the 100-yard touchdown. He would add one more interception and three tackles, as the Jets cruised to the 24-6 victory over their division foes.
It is easy to forget that Revis is on the field at times, as many offenses prefer to stay away from him, but the Dolphins tried testing him, and he responded with a stellar performance that earned him “The Stat Line of the Night” for Monday, October 17, 2011.
