The Daily Gambling Fix 10/24/11 — Tiffani
The Game: St. Louis Cardinals @ Texas Rangers
The Reason: Chris Carpenter has pitched in four games this post-season, and the Cards have won each of those games. His latest start was in Game One of the World Series, when he out-performed Rangers starter C.J. Wilson en route to the 3-2 victory. He will take on Wilson (0-3, 7.17 ERA in post-season) once again tonight and with the designated hitter rule in effect, we expect Carpenter to pitch late into the game and lead his team to another victory.
The Game: Baltimore Ravens @ Jacksonville Jaguars
The Reason: The Ravens have quietly been one of the best teams in the AFC this season. They are 4-1 straight up and 4-1 against the spread in their first five games this season. Their defense is ranked seventh against the pass, third against the run, third in total defense and first in scoring defense. Now they will get to take on a Jaguars offense that is ranked last in the league in total yards and second last in scoring. Look for Baltimore to dominate on both sides of the ball, as they cruise to the easy Monday night victory.
2011 Record: (196-183-9), Last Week: (3-6-1)
