The Daily Gambling Fix 11/1/11 — Suelynn
The Game: Tampa Bay Lightning @ Carolina Hurricanes
The Reason: Seven of the last eight games between these two division rivals have gone over the total. The only game that didn’t go over the total in their past eight meetings was their first game of this season. Six goals were scored in that game, but the total was set at six goals, resulting in a push. Both teams are allowing an identical 3.18 goals against per game and the Lightning have gone over the total in four of their last five games. Look for plenty of pucks to find the back of the net as this game goes over the total.
The Game: Ottawa Senators @ Boston Bruins
The Reason: The Senators have not had much success against the Bruins recently (lost four straight), but they are among the hottest teams in the league at the moment, having won their last six in a row. As for the Bruins, they appear to be feeling the Stanley Cup hangover as they are 3-7 on the season and have lost their last three in a row. Look for the Sens to put together another inspired effort as they should keep this game close. We always suggest you go with the hot team, and at +160 the Sens are a great value pick tonight.
2011 Record: (203-188-9), This Week: (2-0), Last Week: (5-5)
